Service FAQ

Waxes

  • What types of wax do you use?

We use premium waxes from leading manufacturers, chosen based on snow conditions and temperature.

  • How often should I get my equipment waxed?

We recommend waxing at the start of each season, and multiple times throughout the season, depending on how often you ride, to maintain performance and protection.

  • Will waxing help fix scratches?

Waxing can temporarily fill minor scratches, but deep scratches may require repair before waxing, and we recommend that you have any scratches repaired before waxing.

  • How long does a wax job take?

It depends on how many staff members are on duty and how many wax jobs are before yours, but we will do our best to get your equipment waxed quickly.

  • Is hot waxing better than friction waxing?

Hot waxing provides longer-lasting protection and better performance, while friction waxing is a quick and cheap fix for occasional riders.

A full tune-up includes edge sharpening, base repair, and waxing.

  • How often should I get my skis/snowboard tuned?

  • Can you sharpen my ski/snowboard edges?

Yes, we sharpen edges to your desired angle and sharpness.

  • What is base repair, and do I need it?

Base repair fixes damage to the ski/snowboard base; it's recommended if you notice scratches or gouges.

  • Will tuning make my skis/snowboard perform like new?

A proper tune-up can significantly improve performance, but won't restore severely damaged equipment.
